The Scene

I'm on the couch working (well, blogging) on my laptop. Sam is sleeping on my left, Muffin is wrapped around my lower back to provide me with some lumbar support, Ray is at my feet, SSMG is on the phone in the dining room working. It's sunny outside, the garden looks beautiful, and the only plans I have for the day other than a little bit of work and job hunting are to go hiking, running, yoga and dinner out with our new friends, the neighbors.
What could be bad?
And still, I woke up in a panic. The bubble, it seems, has followed me here.
